Week 10 Inquiry Part 1: Room 10 Turangawaewae Art Response

Turangawaewae Inquiry Metacognition - The Power Of Reflection
  1. You created 3 pieces of art in class. Which one were you most proud of and why? I was very impressed with my ko wai au art because I think I did an exquisite job on it.
  2. You were asked to submit your very own/individual piece of art that represented you and something you were inspired by. Explain in more detail about this… I did not make my own piece of art!
  3. You learnt some new skills during our term of art - cross hatching, colour composition, Maori motifs, patterns and symmetry. Choose one and explain in more detail exactly what you learnt. One of the art skills I had learned was Tapatoru and Poutama, They are both Maori motifs. Tapatoru is triangular sort of pattern where triangles overlap each other and poutama is basically stairs going upwards.
  4. Our trip around Hawke’s Bay was to inspire us. Describe what your highlight was from this trip and why. The best part of the trip for me was when we went to the Hawke's bay race course and into the art gallery
  5. If we carried out this Turangawaewae Inquiry topic again, what would you change/do differently?
I would change it so that we could do more animation tasks becuz I LOVE ANIMATION!!!
  6. Identify one person's artwork that you are impressed by. Explain why?
I liked lily’s heitiki that she had done because her colour choices were very...WELL COLOURFUL, The colour choices that she had chosen were perfect with the tiki to make it look very cool!
